Job summary

Power Factors is seeking a Principal Implementation Engineer to lead complex platform implementations for renewable energy asset owners and operators. You will serve as the technical and domain authority throughout the customer engagement lifecycle, co‑owning end‑to‑end delivery of our software solutions for utility‑scale solar, wind, and BESS customers.

You will work remotely with an international team across the US, Canada, Sweden, Germany, Greece, India, and the Philippines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in renewable energy industry (asset management, performance engineering, O&M) or similar technical role.
• Hands‑on experience with SCADA, data historians, or SaaS configurations; able to interrogate time‑series data and diagnose performance issues.
• Strong knowledge of power curve analysis, performance ratio, availability calculations and energy yield variance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementations for utility-scale solar, wind, and BESS customers.
• Serve as domain authority on platform usage, KPI interpretation, and stakeholder expectations.
• Lead technical discovery workshops translating requirements into platform configuration (KPIs, dashboards, analytics, data onboarding, integrations).
• Review and validate delivery for technical accuracy and alignment with industry standards.
• Drive UAT and production readiness with effective handoff to Technical Support.
• Mentor engineers to build renewable energy domain fluency within the PS team.
• Contribute to implementation methodology, templates, runbooks, and validation standards.
• Surface customer feedback to Product and Engineering from direct engagement.
