Job summary

City National Bank is actively seeking a Relationship Manager Sr I to acquire and manage small business and personal relationships across the country, in coordination with RBC USWM Financial Advisors to present CNB solutions.

This primarily remote role requires strong communication, risk awareness, and a client-first approach to grow deposits, loans and fees while maintaining excellent service. Occasional in-market collaboration is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of direct sales experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a financial institution.
• Banking product knowledge for personal and business clients.
• Regulatory/compliance understanding (CIP, KYC).
• Economic awareness and ability to assess client financials.
• Negotiation skills to maintain profitable relationships.
• Knowledge of CNB policies, procedures and regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and facilitate new small business and personal relationships while managing a portfolio of existing clients to achieve sales goals.
• Develop a strategy for engaging RBC USWM Financial Advisors for client introductions, education and follow-up.
• Manage a portfolio of existing clients and deepen relationships through cross-selling with RBC advisors.
• Deliver an exceptional client experience and resolve escalations promptly.
• Continuously develop banking acumen and sales practices through collaboration and training.
• Capture holistic view of client needs and provide sound financial advice.
• Maintain awareness of policy updates and stay within lending authorities.
