Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on reinforcing-steel estimation and detailing experience.
- Ability to review complex structural drawings and identify constructability issues.
- Strong cost estimation, labor forecasting and risk assessment skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
- Develop material, fabrication, detailing, labor and equipment estimates.
- Coordinate with design and field teams to resolve constructability issues.
- Lead the standardization of estimating procedures and templates.
- Mentor junior estimators and detailers as the department grows.
