Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking a senior Reinforcing-Steel Estimator/Detailer to become a technical resource for estimating, project management and operations. You will help establish estimating standards, production rates, and cost databases, while supporting bid strategy and ensuring constructability across projects.

The ideal candidate has substantial hands-on reinforcing-steel experience, the ability to review drawings independently, and strong skills in estimating labor, material and fabrication

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry; 10+ years preferred.
• Experience estimating reinforcing steel on large projects.
• Experience detailing reinforcing steel or reviewing placing drawings.
• Strong reading of structural drawings and specs.
• Proficient with AutoCAD/MicroStation and detailing software.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing, labor and equipment estimates.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions per project.
• Review plans for scope gaps, constructability and risks.
• Lead standard estimating procedures and documentation.
