Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a senior reinforcing‑steel estimator to lead estimating, detailing and preconstruction activities. You will review structural drawings, develop costed labor and material estimates, and collaborate with project teams to establish standards and risk assessment.

Ideal candidates bring deep experience in the reinforcing‑steel industry, familiarity with shop/placing drawings, and the ability to mentor junior staff while shaping department processes and templates

Qualifications

Extensive experience in reinforcing‑steel estimation and detailing.
Ability to review drawings and specs for scope and constructability.
Knowledge of fabrication, field placement and industry practices.

Responsibilities

Perform complete reinforcing‑steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
Develop cost estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, labor, and equipment.
Establish labor hours and production assumptions based on project conditions.
Review plans for scope gaps and constructability concerns.
Lead a standards-driven estimating/detailing function and mentor junior staff.
