Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking an accomplished Estimator/Detailer to lead reinforcing-steel takeoffs, pricing, and detailing for complex projects. You will work with estimating, project management, and operations to establish standards and drive accurate bids.

The role emphasizes reviewing drawings, identifying constructability issues, and developing robust cost databases for future work. Remote-friendly with periodic site and meeting travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of reinforcing-steel industry experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Significant experience estimating reinforcing steel.
• Significant experience detailing reinforcing steel or reviewing placing drawings.
• Experience on large commercial/industrial cement-heavy projects.
• Ability to read structural drawings and specifications with clarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, labor and equipment costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions per project.
• Review plans for scope gaps, discrepancies and constructability concerns.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates for bids.
• Assist management with bid strategy and pricing.
