Job summary

Upgrade is hiring a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a fully remote role in the United States. You will architect and build test automation infrastructure, deploy services to production clusters, and own automation from prototype to mature, with strong emphasis on agentic tooling and scalable frameworks.

You will partner with product teams to design automation requirements, ship them, and iterate based on feedback while maintaining high quality and fast engineering productivity.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years building production software with test infra and developer tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and own automation framework for functional and performance testing.
• Build agents to automate existing QA/testing workflows and remove engineering friction.
• Build the applications and services that automation depends on, deploy them, and operate them in production environments.
• Take prototypes all the way, gather feedback, and iterate until matured with monitoring and quality.
