Job summary

Infotech is seeking an Associate Director of QA Automation to lead and hands-on build a green-field QA function for a busy suite of projects. You will architect robust frameworks, integrate tests into CI/CD, and mentor engineers to raise the team's testing maturity.

We value deep technical leadership and a bias for quality, with remote work options within the US. The role blends senior individual contribution with strategic oversight to ensure high release confidence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of total software QA/Testing experience, with at least 4+ years in a senior or technical lead capacity.
• Ability to elevate the technical skill set of team members through code reviews and paired programming.
• Balance immediate delivery goals with long-term architectural stability and technical debt reduction.
• Exceptional analytical skills to troubleshoot complex system behaviors and environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to translate quality risks to stakeholders.
• 2+ years in a startup-like, fast-paced small team environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks (UI, API, Mobile, Performance).
• Establish automation guidelines, coding standards, and best practices across engineering.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab).
• Mentor QA engineers on automation techniques, design patterns, and debugging.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Software Engineers to plan for testability.
