Job summary

V2X, Inc. seeks a Senior Accounting Associate to manage advanced cost accounting for U.S. government contracts.

You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, billing support, and audit preparation, working independently with limited supervision. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
• At least five (5) years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience.
• Ability to work remotely with guidance and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of internal controls and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Month end close and journal entries: prepare, enter, validate, and troubleshoot journal entries; document support.
• Account reconciliations and analysis: prepare complex reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve issues.
• Project cost and billing support: analyze labor, indirect costs, and cost allocations for invoices and reporting.
• Financial and contract reporting: prepare close reports, invoices, and CDRL deliverables with quality checks.
• Compliance and audit support: apply COST accounting standards, SOX, and respond to audits.
• Process expertise and team support: share best practices, document processes, and train peers.
