Job summary

CAVU Advisors is seeking a Senior Accountant for a remote role with an office in Columbia, MD available as desired. Requires 5-7 years of hands-on accounting operations experience including full-cycle AP/AR, job costing, and monthly close.

Experience with government contracts and Unanet/CostPoint/QuickBooks is preferred. Responsibilities include closing, financial reporting, and managing client and auditor relationships, with travel to local customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience; proficiency with general ledger and job costing is required.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous record-keeping and file organization.
• Experience with government contracting compliance (FAR, DCAA) and indirect rates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain balance sheet control and accuracy.
• Prepare complex financial reporting and monthly close.
• Develop job cost and contract reporting for government work.
• Review monthly financials and reporting packages with dashboards.
• Support audit requests and client relationships with auditors.
