Acentra Health is seeking a Senior Program Director to lead a new, critical program in California. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across care coordination, program design, and regulatory compliance for the UIS program, serving members statewide.

The position is remote, with residency in California required; preferred candidates in LA or Sacramento. The candidate will manage cross-functional teams, drive quality outcomes, and collaborate with health plans and community

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, nursing, social work or related field.
• 8+ years' experience in case management and care coordination.
• 8+ years in healthcare operations or CA public sector health and human services programs
• 10+ years leadership/management experience
• Proven leadership skills and ability to influence beyond this role; credibility with stakeholders
• Must reside in California, but position is remote
• Flexibility to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Directs program objectives and contract compliance; monitors metrics and daily operations.
• Collaborates with program leaders and corporate teams to improve processes and training.
• Engages community partners and stakeholders in member outreach.
• Provides leadership and supervision to staff across care coordination and related functions.
• Oversees contract scope, RFP cycles, and new business opportunities.
• Oversees budget review and financial performance of the program.
• Assesses systems and workflows to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Supports development of organizational structure for California regional outreach.
