Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company is seeking a Senior Presales Systems Engineer to support State Government and Higher Education in Rhode Island. The role is remote/teleworker with territory coverage and requires deep networking, pre-sales and account management skills.

The candidate will lead technical presentations, architect solutions, collaborate with sales teams and partners, and mentor junior engineers while driving customer success in a complex government-centric environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years with Bachelor's or 3+ years with Master's, or equivalent experience.
• In-depth knowledge of L2/L3 networking, routing, WLAN, LAN and WAN.
• U.S. citizen or Green Card holder; no sponsorship for this role.
• Strong oral/written communication, organization, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to design and manage solutions for complex technical issues.
• Ability to engage with senior leaders and mentor junior engineers.
• Industry certifications with Aruba and Juniper preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts and partner responsibilities within the assigned territory.
• Provide optimal hardware, software, and services solutions to meet complex needs.
• Contribute to bid, proposal, and presentation development for prospects.
• Provide technical and sales support for accounts in the territory.
• Deliver technical presentations for customers, partners, and prospects.
• Coordinate with vendor partners to drive demand generation events.
• Develop and manage sales pipelines and forecasts against regional goals.
• Maintain competitive knowledge of solutions and product offerings.
• Provide consultative support to stakeholders in the territory.
• Lead product demonstrations and assess potential applications for customers.
