Job summary

WSP is seeking a Sr. Project Manager - Power & Energy for our Denver, CO office. The role can be remote from within the United States and requires periodic travel to client sites and WSP offices.

You will lead complex projects across the project lifecycle, ensuring delivery quality and adherence to standards. You will mentor staff, manage budgets and schedules, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide trusted, future-ready solutions for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related major or equivalent technical experience.
• Essential project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAP-M).
• 12+ years of post-education project management experience in the A/E/C sector.
• Strong understanding of the project delivery process in our industry and solid PM background.
• Advanced analytical, organizational, and business acumen to bridge business and PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for large, complex projects with budgets, forecasts, margins, KPIs, and risk management.
• Develop strategies to engage stakeholders and report progress.
• Guide pursuit/initiation activities including Go/No-Go decisions and contract reviews.
• Participate in contract negotiations, presentations, and meetings.
• Oversee QA/QC alignment and select staff for technical reviews.
• Mentor staff and provide leadership to project teams.
• Maintain project documentation (RMP, PMP, QP, PSP, Communications).
• Manage client reporting, scope, budget, and issues; monitor AR and unbilled revenue.
• Lead project closeout activities and lessons learned.
