Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Power & Energy Project Manager for the Denver, CO area (also Minneapolis, MN and Amarillo, TX). This senior role leads large-scale EHV transmission and substation projects, guiding technical and administrative efforts, managing budgets, schedules, and client relations with a focus on quality, safety, and delivery excellence.

The position offers remote possibilities within the United States and requires travel to client/offices for periodic meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related technical discipline or equivalent professional experience in A/E/C/utility environment.
• 12+ years of post-education experience in a project management role within the industry.
• Strong understanding of project delivery processes and varied delivery models (DBB, EPC, PDB).
• Advanced analytical and organizational skills with business acumen to bridge business and project management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across leadership and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for larger scale projects, manage budgets, forecasts, margins and KPIs.
• Lead development of proposals, estimates, scope, schedules and resource plans.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, cost and change management.
• Participate in contract negotiations, presentations and client meetings.
• Provide regular project reporting to clients and leadership; identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Be the face of WSP for the client and nurture long-term relationships.
• Mentor staff and support growth and development.
• Adhere to QA/QC and safety standards; develop new processes as needed.
