Job summary

The Ian Martin Group is assisting a major client in a Senior Project Manager role focused on an Insurance Technology Transformation. This fully remote contract position will drive a portfolio of critical projects from intake through to successful launch and measurable results.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and timelines, and ensure regulatory alignment while turning business needs into concrete technical actions for engineers and analysts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project or program management experience.
• Experience delivering technology projects in insurance or financial services.
• Understanding of regulatory constraints affecting project scope.
• Proven track record turning around in-flight or struggling projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from intake to close, with clear owners and dates.
• Lead steering committees, status updates, and risk reviews.
• Track scope, schedule, and budget against a baseline; report using EV or similar.
• Translate business requests into clear requirements with BAs and analysts.
• Lead a team of ~15 engineers, BAs, and analysts, plus an offshore partner.
• Ensure adherence to project standards set by technology leadership.
