Job summary

Lumicera Health Services is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Health System Pharmacy Financial Performance to join our team.

The role focuses on financial analysis, reimbursement, and margin optimization across specialty and health system pharmacy initiatives, delivering actionable insights to improve profitability. The role collaborates with Finance, Pharmacy Operations, Contracting, Analytics, and 340B teams to build forecasts, models, and executive-ready narratives for strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; master's preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis; healthcare/pharmacy finance preferred.
• Experience interpreting financial statements and budgeting/variance analysis.
• Experience developing financial models and executive-level reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, complex formulas, data validation).
• Experience with BI tools and SQL/Python/R preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial analyses and performance reviews for monthly health system pharmacy business reviews; identify drivers, risks, opportunities, and actions.
• Analyze actual performance vs budgets/forecasts to explain variances and inform corrective actions.
• Explain drivers affecting prescription volume, revenue, reimbursement, COGS, gross margin, and operating expenses.
• Identify emerging financial risks/opportunities and elevate concerns to leadership.
• Develop drug-, payer-, clinic-, market-, disease-state-, and therapy-level analyses to explain performance.
• Investigate reimbursement, negative-margin claims, and opportunities to improve margins.
• Evaluate purchasing, inventory, inflation, price, volume, and therapy-mix impacts; recommend improvements.
• Quantify financial impact of contracting, payer access, 340B activity, rebates, and revenue integrity initiatives.
• Develop forecasts, budgets, scenario analyses, variance bridges, and ROI models for planning.
• Translate complex financial modeling into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Prepare executive-ready analyses and data stories detailing what happened, why, impact, and recommended actions.
• Provide financial guidance to cross-functional stakeholders and align recommendations with business needs.
• Use Excel, QlikView/Sense, Power BI, SQL, and other tools to build models, dashboards, and reports.
• Own validation and reconciliation of analyses to source systems and financial statements.
• Other duties as assigned.
