Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve payroll tax notices, correct payroll errors, and prepare amended returns with accuracy and independence. You will manage a high‑volume workload and mentor teammates while deepening your technical expertise.

The role offers flexible hours on a remote US basis, with overtime eligibility and a strong pay‑for‑performance compensation approach. A detailed knowledge of multi‑state tax rules and proactive process improvement is expected.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hands‑on payroll tax experience with focus on notices and amendments.
• Know how to read notices and determine resolution paths across federal/state levels.
• Experience preparing Form 941-X and state equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Handle full‑cycle payroll tax case work, including filings and payments.
• Research and resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices.
• Prepare written agency responses with documentation and deadlines.
• Lead amended payroll tax returns and document the audit trail.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Corrections, Amendments, and Pay & File teams.
