Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to lead resolution of complex payroll tax notices and amendments across multiple states. This role focuses on tax defect resolution rather than payroll processing and acts as a technical lead for the team.

The position offers flexible, remote hours with 20–40 hours per week and overtime eligibility. Candidates will mentor peers, author SOPs/KB articles, and drive improvements in tax notice handling.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience focused on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of state and federal payroll tax notice types and ability to draft penalty abatement requests with supporting docs.
• Hands-on experience preparing amended Federal (941-X) and State payroll tax returns.
• Deep knowledge of FICA, FUTA, FITW, and local tax compliance across jurisdictions.

Aufgaben

• Resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices across multi-quarter and multi-state scenarios.
• Prepare and file amended payroll tax returns (941-X, W-2c) across 10+ states.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods; drive correction workflows.
• Lead, coach, and support senior processors to build team capability.
• Identify trends, share findings with stakeholders, and drive resolution implementations.
