Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve notices, correct payroll errors, and prepare amended returns. This role requires strong knowledge of state and federal payroll tax rules, and experience with notices across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll tax experience with notice resolution and amended return prep.
• Ability to resolve state and federal notices across multiple states.
• Experience preparing Form 941-X, W-2c and related filings.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax case work for assigned accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely filings.
• Research and resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices independently.
• Prepare agency responses with supporting documentation by deadlines.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns and document the audit trail.
• Identify payroll errors, quantify tax impact, and drive resolution to closure.
• Manage own WIP queue and maintain thorough case documentation from intake to closure.
• Perform trend analysis to identify process or system deficiencies.
• Contribute to SOP and KB updates; coach colleagues as needed.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
