Job summary

Intuit, Inc. seeks a Senior Staff Payroll Tax Processor to lead end-to-end resolution of complex payroll tax issues, including notices, corrections and amendments. You will own the most challenging cases and mentor junior staff while collaborating with cross-functional partners.

This remote, hourly, non-exempt role offers 20–40 hours weekly with overtime eligibility and a strong emphasis on compliance, accuracy, and process improvements for customers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in payroll tax with focus on defect resolution for notices and amended returns.
• Expert knowledge of state and federal payroll tax notices and responses.
• Experience filing amended federal/state returns across multiple states.
• Strong understanding of FICA, FUTA, FITW and related tax rules.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex payroll tax notices across multi-quarter, multi-state scenarios.
• Prepare and file amended 941-Xs and state equivalents end-to-end.
• Diagnose errors across pay periods; link to the originating payroll run.
• Maintain high productivity in correcting corrections and notices.
• Mentor and coach junior staff; conduct structured coaching sessions.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
