Veeva Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced payroll leader to manage semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for US states and Canada, including equity compensation and mobility taxes.

You will drive process improvements, ensure tax compliance, and collaborate across functions to maintain data integrity. The role requires 5+ years in payroll management, expertise in Workday and ADP, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Progressive payroll experience with 5+ years in payroll management.
• Hands-on experience processing multi-state U.S. and Canada payroll.
• Experience with Workday and ADP.
• Experience processing equity compensation (RSUs and stock options) and related taxes.
• Experience with mobility tax across state/country lines.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for US states and Canada with strong service orientation and timely execution.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regs and multi-state employment requirements.
• Drive payroll operations process improvements and automation.
• Collaborate with Employee Success, Accounting, IT, and vendors to resolve issues and maintain data integrity.
• Partner with Employee Success on hires, terminations, and leaves of absence.
• Lead and develop a remote payroll team with accountability and cross-training.
• Stay current on evolving payroll compliance requirements.
• Coordinate payroll journal entries, accruals and reconciliations with Accounting.
• Handle payroll-related SOX controls and audit requests.
