Job summary

AvonRisk is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to run payroll across multiple states and entities, including acquisitions. This remote-based role (Rocklin, CA) reports to the Payroll Manager and collaborates with HR to ensure timely, accurate pay while maintaining strict confidentiality.

The role requires hands-on multi-state payroll processing, tax compliance, and experience with Paylocity; opportunity to lead integration of acquired payrolls and support audits.

Qualifications

• Multi-state payroll processing and tax compliance experience.
• Experience converting or consolidating payrolls from another provider.
• Knowledge of FLSA and state wage-and-hour rules, including California.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP understanding (Dynamics 365 BC a plus).

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly and off-cycle payrolls for multiple entities using Paylocity.
• Review payroll registers before approval and verify bonuses and one-time payments.
• Own multi-state payroll tax compliance and local registrations.
• Lead payroll aspects of acquisitions and integrations.
• Reconcile payroll to the general ledger monthly.
• Prepare funding schedules for Treasury and affiliates.
• Administer garnishments and maintain data confidentiality.
• Support audits and SOC reporting with payroll schedules.
