Cable One is seeking an OSP Designer II to design broadband plant extensions and support CAD/GIS workflows. You will read walkouts, update as-builts, and deliver complete construction build packets under guidance, coordinating with Technical Operations, Construction, and Engineering.

Requirements include an AA degree with 5+ years in outside plant design or GIS, and proficiency in ESRI/Schneider tools. Remote work is possible for qualified candidates in listed states.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 5+ years related experience in outside plan design, construction, or GIS.
• Intermediate knowledge of GIS applications (ESRI) and Schneider design software per Cable One standards.
• Solid knowledge of cable design and HFC/Fiber symbology.
• Familiarity with telecom outside plant equipment, design and construction techniques.
• Strong MS Office skills and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Design new and existing HFC plant extensions.
• Perform base drafting.
• Read walkout information accurately.
• Update as-builts as construction is completed.
• Provide complete construction build packet with full design deliverables.
• Learn new software and adapt to new technology as required.
• Create complex fiber splicing matrices and Lightpath circuits.
• Ensure fiber availability and reinforcement requirements.
• Design major plant upgrades.
• Perform plant undesigns and redesigns.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy.
• Support company goals and values in daily tasks.
