Job summary

Cable One seeks an OSP Designer II to design broadband plant extensions and support CAD/GIS workflows. You will read walkouts, update as-built records, and deliver complete construction packets on time. Collaboration with Technical Operations and Engineering is essential.

Candidate should have an AA degree or equivalent with 5+ years of related experience, strong GIS and Office software skills, and familiarity with HFC and fiber design standards. Remote work options may be available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or university with 5+ years related experience.
• Outside plan design, construction, or GIS experience preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of GIS applications such as ESRI and Schneider design software per Cable One standards.

Responsibilities

• Design new and existing HFC plant extensions.
• Perform base drafting and update as-builts as construction completes.
• Read walkout information accurately and prepare construction build packets.
• Create fiber splicing matrices and Lightpath circuits.
• Design major plant upgrades and plant undesigns/redesigns.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects with accuracy.
• Learn and adapt to new software as required.
