Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Oracle DBA Lead to orchestrate on-premises to AWS migrations. You will own end-to-end processes from discovery to post-migration stabilization, focusing on rehosting Oracle databases to EC2 with robust security, performance, and recoverability.

The role requires strong Oracle expertise across 11g–21c, RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and enterprise tools, plus experience coordinating across infrastructure, application, and security teams for seamless handovers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years Oracle DBA experience in production and migration roles.
• Direct experience migrating Oracle databases to AWS or other clouds.
• Experience with RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end migration of Oracle databases from on-premises to AWS, targeting EC2.
• Discover, assess, plan, and execute migrations with cutover validation and rollback.
• Configure Oracle environments on AWS, including networking, storage, and security.
• Lead post-cutover hypercare and issue resolution across teams.
