Job summary

Grafana Labs is hiring an Observability Architect to join our Customer Experience team and shape post-sales partnerships across Japan. You will guide adoption and value realization, delivering exceptional customer experiences for a portfolio of key accounts.

You’ll be the technical lead, conducting health checks, roadmaps, and strategic reviews while collaborating with engineering, product, and engagement teams. Remote-first culture with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical account management, consulting, or post-sales roles
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customer relationships and projects
• Hands-on observability experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki
• Experience deploying and operating Kubernetes environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Comfortable with up to 25% travel to support Japan engagements
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Math or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for a portfolio of Grafana customers in Japan
• Design and guide customers through their observability maturity roadmap
• Provide expert guidance and troubleshooting to drive product adoption
• Conduct regular technical reviews and health checks, including root cause analyses
• Advise on best practices and align Grafana technology with business goals
• Develop and execute tailored technical roadmaps with clients
• Identify opportunities to optimise costs and increase adoption of features
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders
• Collaborate with Engagement Managers and Onboarding Solutions Architects
• Represent customer needs to Product Management and Engineering
• Conduct training sessions, workshops, and document tutorials
• Participate in business reviews and report on engagement metrics
