Job summary

BNS Networks is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to own the design and engineering of multi-site WAN backbones and high-density GPU compute fabrics for AI data center operators. You will transform concepts into detailed designs and lead fabric bring-up across sites.

This fully remote role offers collaboration with engineering, deployment, and customer teams, with travel to active data centers as needed (estimated 25–40%).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering or large-scale WAN/backbone design.
• Deep knowledge of BGP (eBGP/iBGP, multi-homing, transit and peering).
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying leaf-spine data center fabrics.
• Experience with InfiniBand and/or RoCE GPU back-end networks (fat-tree topology, NCCL patterns).
• Ability to produce HLD/LLD documentation and structured cable schedules to build-ready standards.
• Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer/project sites (25–40%).

Responsibilities

• Design multi-site network backbones with BGP routing, transit/peering, and data center interconnect documentation.
• Engineer high-density GPU compute fabrics using InfiniBand or RoCE.
• Develop port-to-port cable maps and fabric plane architectures for NVL72-class GPU clusters.
• Plan and execute staged fabric bring-up with Subnet Manager and firmware alignment.
• Produce HLD and LLD docs, IP and ASN schemes, and cable schedules through construction phase.
• Apply NetDevOps practices to the fabric via IaC and automated validation.
• Coordinate carrier/transport and capacity planning across sites.
• Support network operations and managed services through deployment and hypercare.
