Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to lead architecture, deployment, and optimization of high-performance networks for AI data centers and enterprise environments.

You will design with NVIDIA Spectrum switches, InfiniBand fabrics, and AI factory architectures, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and field engineers. The role involves hands-on lab work, customer deployments, POC demonstrations, and up to 25% travel to sites and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 8+ years of hands-on enterprise or data center network engineering experience.
• Cisco CCNP/CCIE or equivalent high-level certifications.
• Deep hands-on experience with NVIDIA Spectrum switches, InfiniBand, and high-speed Ethernet fabrics.
• Solid knowledge of AI factory reference architectures, RoCEv2, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, and data center fabric designs.
• Hands-on experience building, supporting, and running complex lab environments and POC setups.
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Ansible) for network provisioning and management.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and deploy advanced data center networking solutions using NVIDIA Spectrum Ethernet switches and InfiniBand.
• Lead network integration for AI factory reference architectures with ultra-low latency and high throughput.
• Manage and support internal labs and customer-facing POC environments.
• Perform rigorous testing, validation, interoperability testing, and performance tuning of fabric topologies.
• Collaborate with systems architects, hardware/ software teams, and FAEs to troubleshoot advanced networking issues.
• Develop network diagrams, deployment guides, and troubleshooting playbooks.
