Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior .NET Technical Lead to steer modernization of legacy applications into scalable cloud-native services on AWS. You will lead a diverse engineering team, align with AWS leads, architects, QA, and product owners to deliver features with quality and compliance.

Responsibilities include guiding design and delivery of .NET microservices, driving CI/CD improvements, and mentoring offshore developers.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years with modern .NET and ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying microservices or distributed applications.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and advanced T-SQL development.
• Hands-on experience migrating business logic from stored procedures into application services.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, OpenAPI specs, OAuth 2.0, and JWT-based security models.
• Experience with EF Core, Dapper, async programming, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, RDS for SQL Server, SQS/SNS/EventBridge).
• Experience implementing automated testing (unit, integration, API/contract).
• Leadership experience managing and mentoring development teams, including offshore resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of modern .NET services and APIs for cloud migration.
• Drive engineering excellence through sprint planning, code reviews, and best practices.
• Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements and acceptance criteria for features.
• Mentor and guide offshore teams, remove blockers, provide progress updates.
• Modernize legacy data architectures by extracting logic from SQL Server SPs into C# services.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and secure, compliant production releases.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools while ensuring code quality and security.
