Job summary

Tether Operations Limited seeks a Senior Business Analyst to evaluate mining assets and opportunities, bridging geological data, technical assessments, and commercial analysis to support M&A advisory and investment activities.

You will build and stress test financial models, analyze resource statements, monitor markets, and contribute to investment memoranda and board-ready presentations while coordinating with technical, legal, and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's or Master's in Geology, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering or Earth Sciences.
• 5+ years of experience in mining, investment banking, corporate finance, equity research, or advisory.
• Exposure to M&A, project finance, or asset valuation in mining is desirable.
• Formal business education or training (MBA, CFA progress) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of mineral resource classification codes (JORC, NI 43-101, SAMREC).

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence on mining assets and companies, integrating geological, technical, and commercial assessments.
• Build and maintain financial models (DCF, NAV, comparables) for mining projects and transactions.
• Analyze resource statements (JORC, NI 43-101) and assess their commercial implications.
• Evaluate mining project economics, capex/opex, production schedules, and price assumptions.
• Prepare investment memoranda, pitch books, valuation summaries, and board-level presentations.
• Monitor commodity markets, mining trends, M&A activity, and competitive landscape.
• Support deal execution, coordinating with technical consultants and legal teams.
• Assess geopolitical, permitting, ESG risks affecting mining investments.
• Structure and evaluate alternative financing schemes (prepays, royalties, streams, offtake).
