Job summary

Tether is seeking a Senior Business Analyst in mining to support M&A advisory and investment banking activities across the resources sector. The role links geological insight with financial analysis to evaluate assets, transactions, and opportunities worldwide.

You will build and review financial models, assess resource classifications, and contribute to investment memoranda and presentations for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Geology, Mining Engineering, or Earth Sciences.
• 5+ years in mining, IB, finance, or advisory.
• Experience with M&A and asset valuation in mining.
• MBA/CFA progress considered a plus.
• Understanding of resource classification codes (JORC, NI 43-101).

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence on mining assets and companies.
• Build financial models (DCF, NAV) for mining projects.
• Analyze mineral resource and reserve statements.
• Evaluate project economics including capex/opex.
• Prepare investment memoranda and board presentations.
• Monitor commodity markets and M&A activity.
• Support deal execution with technical and legal teams.
• Assess geopolitical and ESG risks in mining investments.
• Structure financing schemes (prepaids, streams, offtake).
