Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Senior Data Analyst to join a remote team focused on optimizing mining operations. You will leverage data from exploration, production, and processing to identify trends, generate insights, and drive data-informed decisions across the organization.

The role requires a Master’s in a quantitative field and at least 7 years of experience, with strong Python or R, SQL, and data visualization (Tableau/Power BI/QlikView) skills.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in a quantitative field is required.
• 7+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role focusing on operational data analysis.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Strong SQL/database management experience.
• Expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for non-technical audiences.

Aufgaben

• Collect, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets related to geological surveys, production volumes, equipment performance, and operational costs.
• Develop and implement predictive models to forecast operational outcomes, identify risks, and optimize resource allocation.
• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with operations, geology, and finance to understand data needs and provide analytical support.
• Identify KPIs and develop metrics to track mining operation efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated on new data analysis techniques and technologies for mining industry.
