Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical/industrial estimating experience.
• At least 18 months of data center construction estimating experience.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical estimating on large construction projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a suitable home-office setup for full-time remote work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for data center construction projects, including quantity takeoffs, pricing, labor analysis, and subcontractor evaluation.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop competitive bid packages for mechanical work on data center projects.
• Collaborate virtually with internal teams during the bid process.
• Support proposal development, bid reviews, and post-bid analysis.
• Contribute to improving estimating processes and historical cost data.
• Mentor junior estimating staff as needed.
