Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to prepare detailed estimates for data center projects, focusing on Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. The role involves leading estimating efforts for complex projects, coordinating with vendors, and collaborating with design and operations teams.

The position supports Turner’s Advanced Technology Group and can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Ability to formulate advanced cost analyses from contract documents and designs.
• Strong vendor relationships to obtain pricing and constructability insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical estimating for complex projects ($25M+ MEP packages).
• Prepare take-offs, analyses, and estimates for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Coordinate pricing with vendors and sources (e.g., SourceBlue).
• Develop bid strategies and participate in design-team reviews and hand-offs.
• Collaborate with operations and procurement to select MEP trade partners.
