Job summary

NielsenIQ is seeking a Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting to lead our finance team remotely from the United States. You will serve as SME for IDSW, fixed assets, and leases, mentor a team of hub accountants, and drive close processes and ICFR improvements in a public-company environment.

The role partners with Engineering, Product, IT and Legal to ensure accurate capitalization, asset tracking and contract changes, while upholding US GAAP standards and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Broad US GAAP knowledge with focus on software, fixed assets and lease accounting
• Experience with month/quarter/year-end close processes in public/company environments
• Ability to mentor and develop a team of hub accountants
• Proven ability to implement process improvements and system enhancements

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting for internally developed software projects, including capitalization assessments and cost tracking
• Oversee fixed assets lifecycle: capitalization, depreciation, tracking and disposals
• Oversee operating and finance leases under ASC 842, including ROU asset and lease liability recognition
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and assist external audits
• Strengthen ICFR through documentation, control design and testing
• Drive process automation and ERP enhancements across asset and lease domains
