Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group seeks a Senior Manager, Application Development to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale applications, APIs, and cloud solutions for a large organization.

This hands-on technical leadership role is ~70% technical and ~30% managerial, requiring the ability to drive architecture decisions, own solution design, and mentor a team of engineers while collaborating with product, architecture, and business stakeholders in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software engineering/application development experience.
• 5+ years of technical leadership and/or engineering management experience.
• Strong hands-on architecture and solution design experience.
• Strong development background with Java and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations.
• Strong experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise applications and modernization initiatives.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Java, APIs, microservices, AWS, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Develop high-level and low-level solution designs and ensure successful technical implementation.
• Lead and mentor a team of approximately 5-7 engineering resources.
• Drive projects and larger technical initiatives from design through production delivery.
