Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – Hardware for the United States. The role focuses on ongoing support for mainframe hardware, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and maintenance.

You will engage in hardware configuration, DASD/TAPE replication, DR readiness, and incident management while collaborating with client accounts. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and deep knowledge of mainframe hardware, IO concepts, and IBM

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in Hardware Management Consoles for Mainframe hardware.
• Knowledge of DISK and TAPE Architecture and IO concepts.
• Familiarity with IBM Copy Service Manager and VTAM/TCPIP.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mainframe hardware and keep microcode up to date.
• Support client migrations and hardware configuration work.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Sev1/Sev2 incidents with vendors.
• Assist with DR activities and post-incident root cause analysis.
• Create tools and processes to improve team productivity and documentation.
