Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – Hardware to provide ongoing support for mainframe hardware, troubleshoot issues, and maintain systems. This role involves on-call coverage and collaboration with client teams to ensure service continuity and performance optimization.

You will work across hardware platforms, manage DASD/TAPE subsystems, and participate in DR activities, with remote work options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Extensive experience with mainframe hardware and DASD/TAPE architectures.
• Experience with IOCP/IOCDS/IODF and IBM Copy Services Manager.
• Knowledge of VTAM/TCP/IP concepts.
• Ability to diagnose hardware issues and perform timely resolutions.
• Strong analytical and performance tuning skills for DASD/Tape subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hardware at current microcode levels and perform transitions.
• Support client migrations and hardware configurations.
• Troubleshoot Sev1/Sev2 incidents and assist with DR activities.
• Develop tools and processes to improve team productivity.
• Produce documentation and automate common tasks.
