Qualifications

• Proven experience in z/OS upgrades and mass maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of z/OS components JES2, HCD/IODF, SMP/E, WLM, OMVS/USS and RACF.
• Strong TCP/IP and LPAR configuration via HMC.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Mainframe Senior Systems Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical leader, guiding best practices and mentoring team members on z/OS upgrade optimization.
• Design and implement standardized approaches for z/OS upgrades and mass maintenance.
• Lead efforts to optimize system performance and reduce operational complexity.
• Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of IBM and ISV software products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan OS upgrades with minimal business impact.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and templates for OS rollouts.
• Drive adoption of new technologies to support strategic objectives.
• Act as SME for mainframe infrastructure projects and provide technical direction.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for escalated incidents beyond Level 1 support.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend support as required.
