Job summary

Davies North America seeks a Senior Liability Claims Adjuster for Municipal Claims, remote from home, serving a south Florida client. Must hold a current FL license (5-20 or 6-20) and handle complex liability claims including CGL, auto, and professional liability.

Responsibilities include investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving high-exposure claims, with proper reserves, reporting to carriers, and collaborating with defense counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Florida All-Lines Adjuster License (5-20 or 6-20).
• Minimum five years handling all aspects of liability claims and subrogation.
• General liability, auto liability, complex and professional liability claims experience.
• Willing to travel for mediations, client status reporting, or meetings as necessary.
• Experience handling all aspects of liability claims and subrogation.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable statutes, standards, and practices.
• Ability to negotiate settlements and interpret related documentation.
• Proficient with personal computers and claims/biz software.
• Able to participate in mediations and reviews with clients.
• Self-directed, organized, and dependable; strong communication.
• Fast, accurate, and a team player with good attendance.
• Experience managing complex, litigated, high-severity claims.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prompt, accurate investigations of liability claims and establish liability.
• Analyze claim exposures and settle claims cost-effectively.
• Interact with various parties in the claim process.
• Develop settlement strategies with defense counsel and client guidelines.
• Handle claims in accordance with laws, policies, and procedures.
• Document all activity and maintain a progressive action plan.
• Utilize diary system to keep files current.
• Create and revise correspondence as needed.
• Identify risk transfer and notify responsible third parties.
• Manage reserves and prepare for mediations/arbitrations/trials.
• Prepare reports and maintain knowledge of liability laws; maintain licenses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
