Cognizant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable cloud-native applications leveraging Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and AWS. You will contribute to secure, high-performing software across modern cloud environments and collaborate with architects, product owners, and developers.

The role emphasizes RESTful APIs, microservices, and robust CI/CD, with a focus on observability and production reliability in a remote US setting.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience developing enterprise applications using Java (8/11/17+).
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot, including RESTful services.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS, including Lambda, DynamoDB, Step Functions, S3, DocumentDB, and IAM.
• Experience developing APIs using Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of serverless, microservices, and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Experience building and consuming APIs using REST, JSON, and OpenAPI specifications.
• Experience with application monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and AWS.
• Develop and maintain scalable microservices, serverless solutions, and event-driven architectures.
• Create and consume RESTful APIs while ensuring performance, security, and reliability standards are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues through monitoring, observability, and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software using Agile methodologies and CI/CD best practices.
