Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead mission-critical infrastructure modernization for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role requires coordinating complex network tech refreshes, OOB management deployments, and legacy VSAT transitions across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 12+ years of experience.
• PMP or equivalent federal PM certification preferred.
• Experience managing large-scale federal contracts or DoD/DHS/USCG deployments.
• Experience deploying OOB management architectures for remote networks.
• Strong written and verbal communication for executive briefings.
• Proficiency with PMO tools for tracking schedules and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple IT infrastructure projects from initiation through closure across USCG networks.
• Define scope, build WBS, and manage integrated master schedules to prevent bottlenecks.
• Identify and mitigate risks; develop contingency plans to minimize downtime.
• Serve as primary contact for USCG leadership and vendors, ensuring SLAs and timelines.
• Manage budgets, expenditures, and procurement workflows for network hardware and services.
• Coordinate engineers, technicians and security teams across deployment locations.
