Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support mission-critical infrastructure modernization for the U.S. Coast Guard.

This role leads end-to-end planning and delivery of enterprise network projects, with a focus on network hardware refreshes, OOB management deployments, and legacy VSAT transitions, all in a fully remote capacity. You will coordinate with stakeholders, engineers, and vendors, manage budgets, ensure compliance with SLAs and federal standards, and deliver Monthly Status

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of IT project management experience.
• PMI/PMP or equivalent federal PM certification.
• Experience managing large-scale federal contracts or DoD/DHS/USCG deployments.
• Experience deploying OOB management architectures and legacy VSAT transitions.
• Strong communication and executive-level briefing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple parallel IT infrastructure projects from initiation through closure.
• Define scope, create WBS, schedules, and manage critical paths.
• Identify risks and develop contingency plans to minimize downtime.
• Serve as point of contact for USCG leadership and vendors; ensure SLAs and timelines.
• Manage budgets, expenditures, and procurement workflows for global network hardware.
• Coordinate network engineers and field teams across deployment sites.
• Quality-check deliverables and change tickets; prepare MSRs.
• Drive efficiencies by adopting best practices aligned with federal standards.
