First Citizens Bank is seeking a Senior IT Manager - Infrastructure Platforms to lead the administration, support, and reliability of core infrastructure platforms. The role is remote with state hiring restrictions (AZ, NC, TX) and requires strong technical depth plus people leadership.

You will drive incident response, capacity planning, and automation initiatives across Windows, Linux, AIX, storage, and backup, partnering with security, risk, and audit teams to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field with 8+ years of infra leadership.
• Experience leading Windows/Linux/AIX, storage, and backup teams.
• Strong governance, ITIL processes, and regulatory awareness.
• Excellent communication with executives, auditors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of core infrastructure platforms across Windows, Linux, AIX, storage, and backup.
• Coach and develop system administrators and engineers; manage workload and career growth.
• Ensure high availability through monitoring, incident management, and continuous service improvement.
• Oversee lifecycle management: patching, upgrades, decommissioning, and currency.
• Coordinate major incident response and outages with stakeholders.
• Support audits by providing evidence and remediation of gaps.
• Partner with security, risk, architecture, and application teams to meet controls.
• Drive automation and standard deployment processes to reduce manual tasks.
