First Citizens Bank is seeking a Senior IT Manager - Infrastructure Platforms to lead the administration, support, and stability of core infrastructure, including Windows Server, Linux, AIX, storage, and backup.

The role demands hands-on leadership, collaboration with security, architecture, and risk teams, and a disciplined approach to incident response, change control, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' experience OR high school diploma plus 12 years in applications/engineering.
• Experience leading teams of IT infrastructure professionals in regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, AIX, storage, backup and DR.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations of infrastructure teams across multiple platforms.
• Coach and develop system administrators and engineers.
• Ensure high availability, capacity planning, incident management and RCAs.
• Oversee lifecycle management of servers, storage, and backups.
• Coordinate major incidents and disaster recovery exercises.
• Partner with security, risk, and audit to meet regulatory requirements.
