Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Senior IT Manager - Infrastructure Platforms to lead administration and operation of Windows Server, Linux, AIX, storage, and backup environments. This role combines hands-on technical depth with people leadership to ensure secure, highly available infrastructure.

You will work with security, architecture, risk, and audit teams, drive automation, support audits, and oversee vendor relationships while guiding platform modernization and disaster recovery efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in applications development, analysis, or engineering.
• Or high school diploma with 12+ years in the same field.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of infrastructure teams across Windows, Linux, AIX, storage, and backup.
• Supervise, coach, and develop system administrators and engineers.
• Ensure high availability and proactive incident management.
• Oversee lifecycle management for servers, OS, storage, and backups.
• Coordinate major incident responses and support audits with remediation.
