Maximus is seeking a FULL TIME Senior IBM COBOL Developer to support our IRS client in a remote capacity. Candidates must have an active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) and at least five years of COBOL experience.

The role emphasizes designing, coding, testing, and documenting COBOL programs, along with collaboration with management and other developers to ensure high-quality, compliant solutions.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of relevant IBM COBOL development experience.
• Active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) required.
• Experience with DB2, IBM DB2 utilities, and CICS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Lead development of software solutions that meet or exceed business requirements.
• Evaluate new coding techniques and tools for adoption.
• Code and review COBOL programs with unit tests and documentation.
• Update FSPs/PRPs and related diagrams as needed.
