Maximus is seeking a full-time Senior IBM COBOL Developer to support our Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client in a remote capacity.

Candidates must have an active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) and at least five years of IBM COBOL experience, plus DB2, CICS, SQL, and JCL skills.

You will lead development, design software solutions, review code, assist teammates, and ensure documentation is up to date across FSP/PRP and ICD materials.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of professional experience.
• Active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) required.
• Experience with IBM COBOL programming language.

• Lead the development of software solutions to meet business requirements, including design, unit testing, troubleshooting, and proposals.
• Evaluate new coding techniques and tools and implement as appropriate.
• Design software solutions per systems requirements and code per designs.
