Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior HV Project Manager to lead end-to-end management of utility-scale substations, transmission, and distribution projects. This fully remote role requires coordinating with utility owners, EPC partners, and regulators to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality.

You will mentor project teams, oversee scheduling (P6), protection & control integration, SCADA, and interconnection activities, while maintaining strong client relationships and compliance with NFPA 70E

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of EPC utility scale experience in design and/or construction of utility scale power substations.
• Licensed Professional Engineer, PMP certification, or directly relevant industry experience preferred; NFPA 70e Qualified Person preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with others under all situations.
• Ability to work, analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently.
• Strong knowledge of dispatching methods, techniques, and practices.
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enforce adherence to company policies, utility safety rules, and the Electrical Safety Manual.
• Ensure projects comply with NFPA 70E, OSHA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Champion a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across all project teams.
• Lead lessons‑learned reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives for HV projects.
• End‑to‑end delivery of utility‑scale substation, transmission, and distribution projects from development through closeout.
• Serve as technical, financial, and leadership authority for complex HV projects.
• Act as primary interface with utility owners, interconnecting utilities, EPC partners, and regulators.
• Direct and mentor project managers and engineers to coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations.
• Establish project execution strategies aligned with contract scope and standards.
• Mentor junior staff and oversee coordination across multiple concurrent HV projects.
• Support auditing of budgets and schedules with director input.
• Negotiate change orders and contract exhibits with owners and subcontractors.
• Own scheduling responsibility (P6) and coordinate protection & control scope and SCADA integration.
• Oversee fiber, communications, and telemetry integration; plan and execute testing and commissioning.
