Job summary

SOLV Energy in the United States seeks a Senior HV Project Manager to oversee all aspects of high‑voltage construction and operation. This fully remote role focuses on delivering utility-scale substations, transmission, and distribution projects with strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

You will lead multiple concurrent HV projects, mentor teams, and coordinate with utilities, EPC partners, and internal groups from development through closeout.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of EPC utility-scale experience in design and/or construction of utility-scale power substations.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), PMP certification, or directly relevant industry experience; NFPA 70e 'Qualified Person' preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work, analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently.
• Strong knowledge of dispatching methods, techniques, and practices.
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency with office practices, procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Enforce adherence to company policies, utility safety rules, and the Electrical Safety Manual.
• Ensure projects comply with NFPA 70E, OSHA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Champion a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across all project teams.
• Lead lessons-learned reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Accountable for end‑to‑end delivery of utility‑scale substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
• Serve as a technical, financial, and leadership authority for complex HV projects.
• Direct and mentor Project Managers, APM’s, Project Engineers, and Project Support Staff.
• Establish project execution strategies aligned with contract scope, utility standards, and company objectives.
• Lead internal and external coordination across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations.
• Own P6 scheduling responsibility.
• Coordinate protection and control scope, ensuring alignment with relay settings and utility requirements.
• Oversee SCADA integration and RTU/IED installation and testing.
• Manage fiber, communications, and telemetry integration as part of substation and line projects.
• Assist team with testing and commissioning planning and execution.
• Coordinate energization activities with utilities, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure all commissioning documentation, redlines, and turnover packages are complete and approved.
• Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company at executive-level project meetings.
